Windows installs more speech voices than older applications can see. Two double-clicks make them visible, and a third undoes it.

About this project
What it does
Windows ships natural-sounding voices that applications using the older speech interface (SAPI 5) cannot see, so a program like WoW's text-to-speech is stuck with the robotic ones. WindowsVoiceUnlock lists what you have, unlocks the hidden voices with a double-click, and has an Undo. Nothing is installed.
The diagnosis
Both lists of voices point at the same speech engine; only the registry entries live in two places. So the fix is to copy the entries across, carefully. Each registry value keeps its original type, because the wrong type gives you a voice that appears in the list and never speaks. Running it twice changes nothing, and voices you already have under another name are skipped rather than doubled.
It is the kind of fix I like most: a ten-second annoyance for somebody, a proper diagnosis behind it, and a way back if it is not wanted.
